Distance educational technologies are learning technologies carried out using information and telecommunications means with mediated (at a distance) or incompletely mediated interaction between the student and the teaching staff. An educational process implemented on the basis of interaction between a remote teacher and a student, regardless of the place or time of training, using information and communication technologies.

All students enrolled in the 1st course of DET must obtain a login and password from the distance education department. After receiving a login and password, the student can familiarize himself with the educational schedule and electronic resources on the website.

All DET students have their own virtual “personal accounts”, have access to lectures and other teaching aids of the university teaching staff at any time, can receive working, individual study plans, form their own learning path, receive any reference information, schedule of on-line classes and exams.

Organization of the educational process

The basis for organizing the educational process is the working curriculum (WCC) of the specialty, approved by the President of MTGU.

Based on the WCC, at the end of each academic year, students, with the help of advisers, draw up an individual curriculum, which is approved by the dean of the faculty of DET.

At the departments, individual schedules have been drawn up for each student or groups of students based on the curriculum, indicating the time allocated for completing the necessary types of academic work and control activities.

At the university, training sessions on distance educational technologies are organized in the form of television lectures, video lectures, virtual laboratory workshops with texts on electronic media. Students' independent studies involve working with educational, methodological and educational literature, computer disks, distance courses on the university portal, as well as working in the university's electronic library. Consultations at DOT are conducted under the guidance of tutors through the university website using information and communication technologies.

To organize the DET of the university teaching staff, electronic educational and methodological complexes for disciplines have been developed.

The electronic educational and methodological complex of the discipline includes mandatory and additional sets.

The required kit consists of:

- standard curriculum;

- working curriculum (Syllabus);

- electronic lecture notes developed by the university teaching staff;

- materials of practical and seminar classes;

- laboratory workshop (tasks, examples, guidelines);

- tasks for SRS and SRSP;

- test tasks;

- exam questions for each discipline;

- schedules of deadlines for passing control events.

Distance educational technologies are equipped with additional kits:

- computer multimedia educational programs;

- reference and methodological materials;

- a search system that allows you to systematize knowledge when preparing tests and coursework and abstracts, a glossary that explains this or that concept, a system for consolidating and monitoring the studied material.

Exams are a stage of studying the discipline and are aimed at testing students’ knowledge of theory and identifying the skills of applying the acquired knowledge of students in solving practical problems, and taking into account the specifics of distance educational technologies, primarily the skills of independent work with educational and scientific literature.

Students take sessions twice a year. During the same period, for the form of training in distance educational technologies, training sessions are held in specially equipped computer classes.
